With most MMA shows predominantly hosted across the Atlantic in the USA, UFC fight night recently headed to London’s O2 Arena. With a packed-out arena in attendance, featuring household names including our guy AJ, the local stars made a name for themselves!
Headlining the show was Salford-born heavyweight Tom Aspinall, dominating his bout with Alexander Volkov to win by submission in the first round.
Also on the undercard was crowd-favourite and rising star Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett, convincingly beating Kazula Vargas in the first round. While fellow Liverpudlian Molly ‘Meatball’ McCann finished off her opponent with an explosive knockout win in the third round.
With Alexander Volkanovski and Aljamain Sterling defending their respective Featherweight and Bantamweight titles at UFC 273 in Jacksonville, and AJ McKee and Vadim Nemkov headlining Bellator 277 in championship fights in San Jose, there’s loads more to look forward to…
